Park City Point 2 Point is a pinnacle event for many endurance mountain bikers in the west. The course features 75 miles and over 10k climbing of world class single track, including a variety of mixed terrain: steep climbs, technical descents, and flow trails through tight trees. Definitely a race any serious mountain biker should add to their list.

The pro women’s race split apart early on. Though the race was 75 miles, the first 20 miles were spent at cross-country Olympic speeds. Only 3 women, myself, Evelyn Dong, and Caedran Harvey remained together after those opening miles.  Dong and Harvey are long time veterans to the race and put the pressure on in the final hours leaving me to chase hard.

With 5 miles to go, I received a time split that Dong (in 1st) had 4 minutes. I pushed the pace trying to close the gap to 2nd, but with 2 miles to go I came upon a mother and baby moose camped out in the middle of the trail. After about 25 minutes of bushwacking, i managed to get by the moose and continue on to the finish, holding on to 2nd place finish.

It felt so special to be able to fly the Team TWENTY24 colors for the first time, and at a race so dear to my heart and close to home. A special thank you to J Burke for hosting an incredible event!
